Last fall, to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of the hijacking, the first-ever D.B. Cooper Symposium was held in Portland to bring together Cooper sleuths from across the country in hopes of solving the case.
You can see CNN’s clip of the event here.
And read a write-up here and elsewhere on the web.
In total, over 200 people attended, and serious, informative presentations were made throughout the day. The Symposium was so much fun that there are plans to host another, in the fall of 2013. More on the details of this later.
For this year’s anniversary, November 24th, 2012, there are plans in the works to have a cyber-Symposium, where Cooper sleuths can compose short-ish video presentations to share. Again, more here later.
